Getting help with your Resale Royalty queries
September 5, 2019 | Resale Royalty
If you are an artist, art market professional or art collector, you may have some questions about the Resale Royalty scheme.
Artists may be aware that their works have been resold and would like to know if they are owed a royalty payment. Similarly, art market professionals handling sales and resales might wonder if an artwork meets the eligibility criteria. In either case, the Copyright Agency’s Resale Royalty team is on hand to answer your questions.
Before you get in touch, we encourage you to try the Determine Eligibility tool on the Resale Royalty website. This may shed some light on whether your work meets the criteria for royalty payments. You can also find information on the Copyright Agency website, from such resources as:
- What you’ve been asking us about resale royalty
- What does ‘second resale’ of an artwork mean?
- Could your resold artworks be eligible for a payment?
- Guide to the artists’ resale royalty scheme
If after this point you still have questions, then please don’t hesitate to contact the Resale Royalty team and we will do our best to provide a prompt response.
